Abstract

A method and system (1) for propagating data such as entertainment data in an airline system (1) is disclosed. The entertainment data may comprise video, audio and games data. A computer server device (3) is provided at an airline terminal, and a mobile computer (13) is provided in an aircraft (11) for storage of the digital data. When an aircraft mobile computer (13) electrically connects with the server computer (3) at the terminal the data is automatically propagated to the aircraft (11) and to further airline terminals. If the mobile computer (13) is an authorised computer (3) and if the data in the server (3) is more recent than the data in the mobile computer (13) then a data exchange occurs to replace the old data with new data. Each mobile computer (13) has a personality module (57), which configures the computer (13) to the particular aircraft.
