Abstract

In order to validate a bet, a housing identifier and a validating datum representative of a reserve of available game units are stored in a file (MMP) of a main validating device (DVP). System for Electronic validation of at least one paid for wagering game, comprising at least one electronic unit (BO) standalone portable comportant- a player-interface (CL) for the introduction to the initiative of a user of the housing, betting data representative for said set of at least one wagering associated with a predetermined amount of charge game units, a memory unit (M) capable of containing the betting data and a identifying the housing, playback means (MRS) capable, in response to the activation of an activation member (OG), to return to the outside the housing toward a telephone set of information acoustic reproduction containing betting data and identifying housing and free of any indication of an actual payment of these betting data, and a main device validation (DVP), comprising means for introducing (SAV) to introduce in the d ispositif a validation information containing the identifier of the housing and an indication of prepayment associated with this identifier and intended for an effective payment of the bet made, main processing means (MTP) capable of delivering the validation information to main memory means (MMP), main receiving means (16) connected to the main memory means and to said telephone for receiving the telephone signal containing said recovery information, the main processing means being further adapted to extract the signal received telephone, the housing identifier and the betting data, to validate or not the wagering thus received from the quantity of game units associated with said betting data and of the said prepayment indication and, in case validating, storing the received betting data in a main game memory (MMP).

A system according to revendiction 8, characterized in that the prepayment indication is a validation datum representative of an available reserve of game units and in that the main processing means (MTP) are capable of comparing the quantity of game units associated with said betting data with the said validation data, to validate or not said betting data according to the result of the comparison, and, in case of validation, of storing the received betting data in the main game memory (MMP) and to make jqϋr a new validation datum associated with this housing identifier from the old validation data and the quantity of game units corresponding to the stored betting data.

The system of claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the housing comprises a housing-interface (II) connected to the housing memory-, in that the introduction means comprise at least one auxiliary validation station ( SAV), comprising a first interface station (12) adapted to cooperate with the housing interface- (II) for receiving the identifier of the housing, a second interface station (13) for introduction into the station of the prepayment indication associated with this housing, a station-memory (MS) for storing the prepayment indication and the housing identifier, a third station-interface (14) connected to an external communications means (MCO), means station processing (MTS) capable of delivering from the contents of the memory station, said validation information on the external communication means, and a main interface (17) connected by means of external communication and processing means key, for receiving said enabling information.

12. System according to one of claims 8 or 10, characterized in that the interf ace-player (CL) comprises a set of buttons

13. System according to one of claims 8 to 12, characterized in that the housing comprises a display (ECR) for displaying the entered betting data.

System according to one of claims 9 to 13, characterized in that the housing comprises a validation memory (M2) capable of containing the said validation data, and a display means (ECR) of the content of this validation memory and in that the housing comprises housing-processing means (MTB) capable of updating the contents of the validation memory (M2) after each bet outlet.
15. System according to one of claims 8 to 14, characterized in that IQS 'main receiving means comprise at least one voice server (SV) capable of reproducing in plain language to the loudspeaker of the telephone (PT) , at least part of the betting data in the recovery information received.

System according to one of claims 8 to 15, characterized in that the recovery information consisting of a plurality of bits, the restitution means comprise encoding means (MCS) capable of delivering, for a bit of said recovery information having the logic value "one", a logic signal having a high state during a first predetermined duration and a low state during a second predetermined duration, and for a bit of said recovery information having the logic value " zero ", a logic signal having the low state during the whole of the first and second durations, and - an electroacoustic transducer (BZ) only delivering no acoustic signal in response to a logic signal in the low state, and delivering in response to a logic signal in the high state, a single-frequency acoustic signal whose frequency is situated substantially at the center of the bandwidth of the telephone line.
