Definitions
- the present invention relates to a portable pump assembly.
- the invention relates to a portable pump comprising a pump proper mounted in a housing and a plurality of accessories fixable on said pump housing.
- Smaller pumps in particular of the peristaltic type, are used more and more frequently in the medical and hospital field for delivering medicaments or physiological serums to patients.
- These pumps make it possible to move various liquids inside a flexible tubing, the end of which is connected by a cannula or a needle to the patient, by very precisely controlling the flow of liquid injected.
- Most often these pumps are in the form of a housing which comprises, on the one hand, the mechanical part of the pump and, on the other hand, its electronic control circuits as well as its electrical supply.
- On the front of the pump is provided a keyboard allowing to program the operation of the pump as well as various indications. This pump can be used in different situations. It may involve dispensing the liquid to a bedridden patient in a hospital room.
- the pump it is desirable to be able to fix the pump on the bracket which will itself possibly support the bottle of liquid to be dispensed.
- the pump is worn permanently by the patient. In this situation, either for reasons of convenience, the pump must be attached to a belt worn by the patient, this belt itself carrying the pocket containing the liquid to be injected, or in other cases the pocket is contained in an envelope. forming a sort of bag and it is then desirable to be able to associate the pump with the bag containing the liquid pocket.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a portable pump assembly in which the pump can be associated with various accessories allowing the fixing of the pump and / or the fixing of the pump and of the bag containing the liquid to be injected. It is also desirable that the pump can be conveniently attached to these various accessories without having to modify the pump housing and without having to use specific fixing means for each accessory used with the pump.
- the portable pump assembly which comprises a pump mounted in a housing and a plurality of accessories which can be fixed to said pump housing, is characterized in that the pump housing comprises a control face and an attachment face separate from the control face, said attachment face comprising first mechanical fixing means, and first fixed locking means, in that it further comprises a single connecting member having a first face provided with second mechanical fixing means, said first and second mechanical fixing means forming a slide-rib system and second movable locking means, such that, when the first and second mechanical fixing means cooperate with each other, the first and second locking means also cooperate to secure said connecting member to said housing, and a second me face comprising a first fixing zone and a manual control element for unlocking the second locking means, in that each accessory comprises a second fixing zone able to be placed opposite at least part of said first zone of fixing, and in that it further comprises means for fixing said second fixing zone on at least part of said first fixing zone.

- FIG. 3 is a partial section along line III - III of Figure 2;
- FIG. 4 is a partial sectional view along the line IV-IV of Figure 2;
- - Figure 5 is a bottom view of the connecting member;
- FIG. 6 is a side view of the connecting member
- FIG. 7 is a sectional view along the line VII-VII of Figure 5;
- FIG. 8 is a side view of the connecting member equipped with a first accessory forming a hook
- Figure 9 is a view similar to that of Figure 8 but in top view
- FIG. 10 is a perspective view of a second accessory fixable on the pump and which consists of a fixing piece on a bracket;
- FIGS. 11 to 13 are perspective views of another fixable accessory on the pump consisting of an envelope intended to contain a pocket for the liquid to be injected using the pump.
- the pump comprises an external housing 10 of parallelepiped shape having a front control face 12 and a rear fixing face 14. Inside the housing, there is essentially a peristaltic pump 16 of a type known per se which comprises cooperating rotary rollers with a deformable tube 20 through which the liquid to be injected circulates. Inside the housing, there are also circuits for controlling the operation of the pump and for controlling it, as well as a power supply.
- the fixing means consist essentially of two slides 30 and 32 preferably extending over the length of the housing which are preferably made in the mass of the walls of the housing.
- the slides 30 and 32 are separated by a hollow area 34 forming a groove in which a locking ramp 36 is produced, having an inclined part 36a facing the engagement inlet of the recess 34 and a part 36b having a steep slope. and constituting the locking face.
- the connecting piece 40 is constituted by an elongated piece 42 which has a substantially planar portion 44 in which an opening of substantially rectangular shape 46 is formed. In this opening is mounted a tongue 48 which is pivotable relative to the plate 44 by means of two pivot axes 50 and 52 arranged between a free end 54 and a locking end 56 of the tongue 48.
- the whole of the member link 40 is made of plastic material and the tongue 48, the pivot axes 52 and the plate 44 are made in one piece, which defines in addition to the pivot axis 50, 52 elastic return means of the tongue in the plane of the plate 44.
- the plate 44 has a side wall 58 on which protrude two ribs 60 and 62 arranged on either side of the plate 44. It is understood that the grooves 60 and 62 are arranged in a plane offset from that of the plate 44.
- the ribs 60 and 62 are configured so that they can slide in the slides 30 and 32 of the housing 10 when the connecting member is located opposite the rear face of the pump housing.
- the locking end 56 of the tongue 48 has a locking projection 64 which is arranged opposite the groove 34 on the rear face of the pump housing. Consequently, when the connecting member is engaged against the rear face of the pump housing, the locking extension 64 slides in the groove 34 and can come beyond the locking ramp 36.
- the connecting member 40 can be secured to the rear face of the pump housing temporarily. It is understood that, by acting by pushing on the external face of the end 54 of the tongue 48, it is possible to cause the lifting of the locking extension 64, which makes it possible to separate the connecting member 40 from the housing of the pump.
- the connection mode between the pump body and the connection member the separation of these two parts is very easily obtained and the pump is devoid of any external fixing member.
- the upper face 44a of the plate 44 also constitutes an attachment zone for an accessory.
- the plate has fixing holes such as 66, 68 and 70. It should be observed that at least part of this fixing zone, for example that which is defined by the holes 66 or all of the holes 66 and 68, leaves the control end 54 of the tongue 48 free to allow the unlocking of the connecting member with respect to the pump housing.
- FIG. 8 and 9 there is shown a first accessory which consists of a hook.
- This hook is constituted by a substantially rectangular elastic plate 70 which has a free end 72 and which has at its second end 74 an extension 76.
- the free face 76a of the extension constitutes a second attachment zone for the accessory 70.
- the face 76a has blind tapped holes such as 78 arranged opposite the holes 66 of the connecting member. By engaging screws such as 80 in the holes 66 and the blind holes 78, it ensures the attachment of the end 74 of the flexible blade 70 with the connecting member.
- the blade 70 in cooperation with the upper face 44a of the connecting member 40 thus constitutes a hook which can for example be engaged on the belt of a patient who must wear the pump 10.
- a fixing piece 90 of the pump 10 on a bracket The part 90 comprises a jaw 92 provided with a clamping screw 94.
- the jaw 92 is arranged around the bracket, not shown in FIG. 10, and the screw 94 makes it possible to clamp the jaw 92 on the bracket.
- On the jaw 92 is pivotally mounted a fixing block 96 using a swiveling system. This block has an inclined face which constitutes the attachment zone of this accessory.
- FIG 10 there is shown a connecting member 40 fixed by its upper face 44a on the face 98 of the block 96 by means of screws, not shown in the figure, which are engaged in the holes 66 and 68 of the member 40.
- the face 98 of the block must leave accessible the control end 54 of the tongue 48. It suffices to come and lock the casing 10 of the pump on the connecting member 40 as has been explained. previously.
- the pump housing can be given the desired orientation by rotation so that its control face is easily accessible, in particular when it is fixed to the bar vertical of a tripod support and / or the horizontal bar of a patient bed.
- FIGS. 11 and 12 show another accessory which can be associated with the pump 10 thanks to a connecting member 40.
- It is an envelope in the form of a rigid bag or pouch, the lower part 102 of which is intended to receive a flexible bag, not shown in the figure, containing the liquid to be injected.
- the rigid upper portion 104 is intended to receive the pump housing 10.
- the housing 10 is fixed to the wall 106 of the casing 100 using the connecting member 40 already described.
- the member 40 is fixed to the periphery of an opening 110 formed in the wall 106 in such a way that the ribs 60 and 62 are inside the envelope and its upper face 44a is turned towards the outside. On this face, using the holes 66 and 68, a hook blade 70 of the type described in connection with FIGS.
- Figure 13 shows the pump housing 10 mounted in the casing 100. It also shows the part 112 of the tube 20 connected to the pocket contained in the casing 100 and the part 114 of the tube at the end of which is fixed the injection needle or cannula. It goes without saying that many other accessories could be temporarily attached to the pump housing using the single connecting member 40.
- the accessory fixed to the connecting member 40 may be a male or female fastening element capable of cooperating, for example by clipping with an additional female or male fastening element.
- the additional element can be a specific fixing piece.
