Abstract

The proposed device for phono-electrophoresis comprises: an ultrasonic emitter (1); a hollow cylindrical body (2) which acts as an active electrode and in which is housed a piezo-electric element (3) on whose outer surface in relation to the surface of the body (4) of the patient undergoing electro-ultrasonic treatment there is a protective element (7) made of an ultrasound-conducting material; a device (10) for creating acoustic contact between the protective element (7) and the surface of the patient's body (4); a device (16) for minimizing the therapeutic agent (12) introduced into the cavity (13) formed by the protective element (7) and the surface of the patient's body (4), said device also serving as the device (10) for creating acoustic contact; and a passive electrode (17) placed on the patient's body (4). In the example shown, the device (16) has a semi-permeable membrane (42) and a spring-loaded bellows system (46).
