Definitions
- the present invention refers to .a device at a clea ⁇ ning mop, which along its intended mopping surface exhibits wiping material, preferably a polyester fibre composition similar to artificial fur lining, and along the fastening surface counter-facing the intended mopping surface is provided with fixing means for releasable fastening of the mop on a mop support .
- wiping material preferably a polyester fibre composition similar to artificial fur lining
- fixing means for releasable fastening of the mop on a mop support a large amount of varying forms and designs of mop supports to connect mops to the same.
- mop supports consisting of bent steel tubes, plates with or without velcro fastening means along the whole or parts of the same.
- fastening systems for various mops and supports that are used, which among other things makes it more expensive for the consumers and makes it necessary to be careful about which system is used, in order not to obtain wrong items which do not fit together.
- US,A, 4 914 778 shows a mop which is provided with receiving pockets at respective end of the mop for a mop support.
- US,A, 3,991,432 shows a mop in which one has solved the problem of connecting the mop support by first connecting a mop support to a connecting part provided with pockets which in turn then is fastened to the mop itself by means of velcro fastening means.
- This is an extremely complicated fastening means which is not at all easy to work with and which has probably not come to use in practice.
- Fr, Al, 2 663 832 and US,A, 2 067 687 respectively show mops with a single pocket and double pockets respectively, but no pockets in pairs which are formed by crossing velcro fastening means provided with textile parts.
- the mop known through US,A 2 067 687 which exhibits a pocket of the complete ⁇ ly covering type and a pocket of flap formed parts and which exhibits an even top surface, which requires a specially designed mop frame shown in Fig. 2 similar to a V or a U and does not make insertion of a standard mop frame possible.
- the main object of the invention is thus at first hand to provide a device, which by simple and well functioning means solves the above problem to be able to combine a great number of mop supports to one kind of mop.
- a device accor ⁇ ding to the present invention which in main is characterized therein, that said mop along the main part of said fastening surface exhibits velcro velour or other material with comple ⁇ mentary velcro fastening ability, for the purpose of making possible releasable fastening of a mop support with velcro fastening means at an optional location and that in addition there is for a mop support suitable engageable fastening means att the both ends of the mop, for the purpose of making pos ⁇ sible releasable engagement of the end portion of said mop support, namely in the form of flexible textile parts in pairs crossing each other, which form flap shaped pockets which are formed by corner parts crossing each other or by crossing strips whereby the fastening means are formed by textile material of velcro velour for receiving an end portion of the mop support.
- the new mop device makes possible releasable swit ⁇ ching of fastening means and to fasten a mop support with either velcro fastening means at an optional location and fastening of mop supports received in each at respective mop end located flexible textile parts crossing each other in pairs in the shape of flap formed pockets or crossing strips which also exhibit velcro fastening ability.
- Figure 1 shows a mopping surface of a cleaning mop
- Figure 2 shows a fastening surface of said mop
- Figure 3 shows a first example of design of a mop support
- Figure 4 shows a second example of design of a mop support
- Figure 5 shows a third example of design of a mop support
- Figures 6-8 show examples of fastening stages a various mop supports to a uniformly designed mop
- Figures 9-10 show a further example of a mop and th fastening means thereof.
- a device 1 at a cleaning mop 2 according to th present invention which along the intended mopping surface of the mop exhibits appropriate drying materials 4 intended fo dry wiping of floors, walls, ceilings etc.
- the materials bein a polyester fibre composition similar to artificial fur linin with a soft fur like wiping surface, and that the fastenin surface 5 of the mop which is counter-facing the intende mopping surface 3 has fastening means 6,7 for releasabl fastening of the mop 2 on a desired mop support 8-11, exhibit fastening means 6, 7 of at least two types 6 and 7 respec ⁇ tively.
- said mop 2 along the main portion of sai fastening surface 5 exhibits partly velcro velour 6 or othe material with complementary velcro fastening ability, in th purpose of making possible releasable fastening of a mop support 8, 11 with velcro fastening means 12 at an optional location.
- fastening means 7 which is designed to fit mop supports 8-11 of various types.
- Said fastening means is arranged to b graspingly fixed to the mop support 8-11 and are provided a both ends 2A, 2B in a direction turned away from each other, in the purpose of making possible releasable engagement of th end portions 8A, 8B turned away from each other.
- Mop suppor fastening means 7, 107 may be formed by flexible textile parts 7A, 7B; 107A, 107B, for example of velcro velour or textile, which exhibits similar fastening capability.
- the mop suppor fastening means 7 flap formed pockets 13,14, and at respectiv mop end 2A, 3B there is at least one pocket 15, which shows widening in the direction 16, 17 from the mop end 2A and 2 respectively.
- corner pieces 7A, 7B in pairs crossing each other and situated at the mop ends 2A, 2B respectively each form a pocket 13, 14 which is suited for receiving of an end portion 8A; 9A, 9B; 10A, 10B of a mop support 8-11 of various type.
- the shape of the corner pieces 7A, 7B may be triangu ⁇ lar to form said fastening means 7 with effective fastening capability.
- the corner pieces 7A, 7B in order to achieve improved holding can exhibit edge sides 18, 19 of different length, which are connectable, e.g. by seams 20 to an edge portion 21 of an intended mop, which may be formed by a folded in edging, which extends along the periphery of the mop 2.
- the edge side 18, which exhibits- longer extension than the edge side 19, is fixed to respective long side edge 22 of said mop. Further the short sides 19 of the corner pieces are then fixed to the respective short side 23 of the mop, so that the corner pieces 7A, 7B with free not fixed hypotenuse like edge portions 24, 25 cross each other in an overlapping manner.
- the mop support 8 shown in figure 3 is inserted with its end 8A, which is lack of velcro strips 12, into the spaces 13, 14 inside the corner pieces 7A, 7B in pairs of one of the fastening means 7.
- the other end that exhibits velcro fastening means 12, is simply pressed against the mop 2, so that velcro strips etc. stick to the velcro velour 6, which is present along substantially the whole fastening surface 5 of the mop 2, as well on the surface 26 of the mop, which is not covered by fastening means 7, as on the outwards facing surface 27 of the corner piece 26. ( Figure 6).
- a mop support of steel tube is bend such that the operative width occasionally can be reduced to be able to enter into respective end 9A, 9B in pockets 13, 14 formed behind the flaps 7A, 7B.
- the mop 102 shown in figure 9 and 10 also has a mopping surface 103 with a wiping effective artificial fur composition 103 and a fastening surface 105 turned away with partly velcro fastening friendly structure 106 and formation along mainly the whole said fastening surface 105 and partly fastening means in the shape of crossing strips 107A, 107B.
- the function of this design is similar to previous example.
- Removal of the mop from the mop support is carried out mainly in the same way as the fastening thereof.
