Abstract

A method of cleaning soil polluted with oil and petroleum products comprises determination of the pollution degree of the area by means of boring holes and pumping in solutions of surface-active substances or a medium for cultivation of micromycetes. A suspension of nutritive substances, such as salts containing cations of ammonium, potassium, magnesium, ferrum (III) and anions of nitrate, phosphate and sulphate, are then introduced in the soil both on and below the surface to a depth of 1.5 metres. Microorganisms used are at least one oil-assimilating species or strain of soil micromycetes of the genus Penicillium, Mucor, Aspergillus, Trichoderma. The suspension is pumped in the soil at a fixed pressure and at a certain ratio of the quantity of spores per unit of oil pollution.
