Abstract

Dans une presse coupante comportant un bâti (10) portant un dispositif ramasseur-chargeur (12) et un tambour d'alimentation (13) coopérant avec des lames coupantes (14) ainsi qu'une chambre de compression (17) équipée d'un piston de compression (21) et recevant le matériau coupé transmis par le tambour, la chambre de compression est montée rotative sur paliers (18) par son extrémité arrière sur le bâti. Le tambour (13) introduit le matériau dans un canal d'alimentation fixe (15) et la chambre de compression (17) possède une ouverture d'entrée (19) située sur son extrémité avant et un canal d'entrée (20) qui est placé en face de ladite ouverture et entoure le canal d'alimentation (15) de façon télescopique. Quand la chambre (K) située dans la chambre de compression entre le piston et le matériau déjà comprimé, est pleine, la pression du matériau provenant du tambour élève l'extrémité avant de la chambre de compression, avec l'aide d'un vérin hydraulique (25), ce qui augmente le volume de la préchambre (Q) formée par le canal d'alimentation et le canal d'entrée, pour que le tambour d'alimentation puisse continuer à introduire le matériau dans ladite préchambre, tandis que le piston de compression effectue une course et ferme l'ouverture d'entrée (19).
