Abstract

System for the mechanical and automatical storing of vehicles on a plurality of floors comprising a main tower with a fork extending in a direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the tower. After loading the car (A) on a platform (1) supported by the fork (4), the vehicle (A) is moved upwardly towards a free storing room. A lateral displacement of the tower will place the platform on a shelf (12) inside the storing space.

Description

A system "for the mecahnical and automatical parking of vehicles.
The present invention concerns a system for the mechanical and automatic parking,of vehicles on a plurality of floors.
Systems for the parking of vehicles on a plurality of floors are already well known, wherein said vehicles are taken on the sur- face and placed in deep silos. Said systems, however, have va¬ rious and complex mechanisms that have prooved to be expensive and easily subject to damages with following functioning inter¬ ruptions.
It is the aim of the present invention to realize a system for the parking of vehicles on a plurality of floors, being automa¬ tic and of easy handling.
The aim set forth is reached by means of a system comprising a central structure moving in vertical as well as in horizontal direction, and two storing areas for the vehicles, being fix at a plurality of levels and provided laterally of said central structure.
The main advantages of the object of the present invention are: the exactness of the initial placing of the vehicle, controlled by means of apposite sensors; the comfort for the driver to get in and out of the car due to wide lateral rooms on the placing platform, so that it may be reached also by the handicapped; the quickness and exactness of placing; the minimul total space occupied and the easiness of the component mechanism. The present invention will be explained more in detail herein below relating to the attached drawings showing a preferred embodiment.

Figure 8 shows a front and lateral view of the upper head of the moving tower.
Figure 9 shows a front and lateral view of the lower basing of the moving tower.
The present invention shows a system for th mechanical and au¬ tomatic parking of vehicles on a plurality of floors comprising a moving platform 1 placed between bix boards 2 where the vehi¬ cle driven by the owner is placeα tne the control del sensor '3 applied in correspondence to the front wheels so that once the driver has got off said platform 11, supported by a shelf 4, whi¬ le the vertical moving device, by means of rollers 6 along mov¬ ing tower 5 starts a vertical movement by means of an endless swrew electric operating until an electronic, known device, al- ready programmed, places said platform 1 aside of a place free from other parked vehicles.
Said support tower_5 now moves laterally with rollers 7 in upper guide 8 and wheels 9 inside basing 10 on the sliding track or main guide 11, carrying the platform 1 together with the vehi¬ cle A until it gets placed on fix support shelves 12.
A slight vertical movement of the mobile shelf places the plat- form 1 and the vehicle A onto said fix shelves 12.
The exactness of the movement is assured by a revolution-coun¬ ter provided on the endless screw.
At this point the moving tower 5 with the shelf 4, free from the platform 1 and form the vehicle, returns in the central position and repeats the operation of research of a free platform, without a car on it, lifts it from its fix shelf 12 and brings it back to the operative parking area.
Obviously the functioning of the system for the taking and replacing phase of a vehicle is different from the one above described: the mobile shelf 4 places the free platform 1 on a free space on shelves 12, then takes back the platform and the vehicle A to give back and, by means of the lateral and vertical movements described, brings it back to the original position.

Claims

C L A I M S
1. A system for the mechanical and automatic parking of vehicles on a plurality of floors, characterized in a shelf device (4) vertically moving along a moving tower (5) for bringing the vehicle (A) placed on a movable platform (1) aside of a free room so that said tower (5) may laterlally move carrying said movable platform (1) with the vehicle (A) until it gets on fix shelves (12) where, by means of a slight verticalmovement, it will place said platform and returns to the central position repeating the research operation for a free platform (1) that will be lifted from the fix shelf (12) and brought back to the operative parking area.-'
2. A system for the parking of vehciles according to claim 1, cha¬ racterized in that the vertical movement of said shelf device (4) takes place by means of an endless screw electric operation.

A system for the parking of vehicles according to claim 1, characterized in that said support tower (5) laterally moves with rollers (7) in an upepr guide (8) adn of wheels (9) inside a basing (10) on a sliding track or main guide (11) carrying platform (1) with vehicle (A) until it gets placed onto fix support shelves (12).

A system for the parking of vehicles according to claim 1, .characterized in a revolution-counter provided on an endless screw for determining the slight vertical movement of the mo¬ vable shelf device (4) for the exact placing of platform (1) and vehicle (A) onto fix shelves (12) of a free store-room.
5. A system for the parking of vehicles according to claim 1, characterized in the presence of sensors (3) applied in cor¬ respondence of the front wheels of the vehicle (A) for the exact placing on the movable platform (1).

A system for the parking of vehicles according to claim 1, characterized in that for the taking and redelivery of a ve¬ hicle (A) the movable shelf (4) places the free platform (1) on a free romm on shelves (12), then takes back the platform and the vehicle (A) to redeliver and, by means of the de - scribed lateral and vertical movements, brings it back to the original position.
