Das hierzu verwendete Blech wird gewöhnlich von Rollen abgewickelt, und schrittweise in die Faltpresse eingeführt. In dieser wird eine der Form der herzustellenden Rippen entsprechende Partie in Einspannvorrichtungen eingespannt, worauf ein sogenanntes Faltschwert senkrecht zum Band bewegt und da¬ durch die dem Rippenkopf entsprechende Stelle ausgelenkt wird, während gleichzeitig die Rippenbildung durch Zusam¬ menschieben der Spannvorrichtungen erfolgt. Da diese Art der Rippenbildung allgmein bekannt ist, wird auf weitere Details nicht eingegangen. Hierfür siehe beispielsweis DE-OS 14 52 768.
