上詳 し ぐ 説明 した通 ? 、 ^発明は、 一対の金属被溶接 材の端部を互 に突合わせて放る : ft通開先に裏当金を用 ずに集光 レ ーザ ビー ム を用 て溶融溶接する際に、 この Λ 通開先に フ イ ラ 一 ワ イ ヤ を送給 し、 しか も 、 こ の貫 ϋ ¾先 の間隙を O- J omか ら フ ィ ラ ー ワ イ ヤ の 直径の 2 倍 での 囲内に セッ ト して溶接する ので ある。 従って、 従来 ^の 如 く フ ィ ラ ー ヮ ィャ の送給を行なわ で レーザ溶接する 場合に鞍べる と、 発明 に よ る と 、 開先間隙の許容値は大 巾 に拡大、 改善でき 、 全溶込み溶接の最大速度 も 増太でき これに よつて治具コ ス ト の ί&滅溶接速度の増大が達成で き, 作棻能率が大巾に向上する。

請 求 の 範 囲
1 ) 一対の金属製被溶接材の端部を互 に突合わせて間隙 が設け られた貫通関先を形成 し、 この貫通開先を裏当金を 便用せずに集光レ ーザ ビーム を用 て溶融溶接する際に、 . この貫通開先に フ ィ ラ ー ワ イ ヤ を送絵する一方、 前記貫 通開先の間隙を 0. 1 ««から フ ィ ラ ー ワ イ ヤの 直径の 2 倍 >y 下の範囲内にセ ッ ト し、 この フ ィ ラ ーワ イ ヤ に レーザ ビー ムの焦点を当てて前記貫通開先に ¾つて溶接する こ と を特 徵とする レ ーザ ビーム を用 : ^溶接法。
2) 請求の範囲第 1 項に記載される レーザ ビー ム を用 た 溶接法に て、 前記レ ーザ ビーム焦点のパ ワ ー密度を
