Abstract
La invención proporciona el uso de un gen codificador de la cianamida hidratasa (CAH) como marcador de selección, preferentemente esto puede utilizarse para la transformación de plantas. El gen comprende la secuencia nucleótida SEQIDNO:1 o las muteinas de éstas con función cianamida hidratasa. Además la invención comprende un método para la selección de plantas transformadas que comprende la construcción de un vector portador de una secuencia codificadora para CAH y de un gen de interés, la transformación del vector a plantas, partes de plantas o células de plantas o callos y el cultivo de los transformantes resultantes en un medio que contenga cianamida.
