DESlGN FOR FURNITURE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 6,236, dated November 5, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, DAVID DENYVEN, of Oambridgeport, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new Design for Furniture, of
which the followin g is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photograph making part of this specitication. p
This design consists of a head or medallion sunk into the back of a chair, sofa, or other article of furnitureathns giving it an exceeding- 1y ornamental an unique appearance, while the head or medallion is also prerented from hurting the back of a person leaning against it. Claim.
. What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- 1. The design for furniture, consisting .of a sunken head or medallion, substantially as herein shown and described.
2. I also claim the design for the upper portion of the back of a chair or sofa, substantially as herein shown and described.
