DESIGN FOR A CENTER-BEARING FRAME FOR GAS-ENGINES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,582, dated May 28, 1901.
Application filed April 13, 1901. Serial No. 55,799. Term of patent '7 years.
To (ZZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD BEACH GALLA- HER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and useful original Design for a Center-Bearing Frame for Gas- 'Engines, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure l is a view in side elevation of the center-bearing frame. Fig. 2 is a view in end elevation of the same, and Fig. 3 is atop plan View.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my designis the configuration of a bearing-frame of an engine which will present when viewed in side elevation a circular exterior profile and a broken interior profile which will present when viewed in end elevation an irregular profile formed by a rim a, outwardly-extended sleeves b and c at right angles thereto, the sleeve 1) being spaced from the rim a by a bridge 01, having upper and lower webs e 6 connecting the sleeve 12 with the upper and lower portions of the bridge d, and the sleeve 0 being spaced from the rim a by a bridge f, having an upper web 9 and a lower web h connecting the top and bottom of the sleeve 0 with the upper and lower portions of the bridgefand which presents an irregular profile when viewed in top plan, formed by the rim a, the outwardly-extended sleeves Z) and c at one side of the rim and a pair of opposite outwardlyprojected lugs 11 andj near the other side of the rim (1, and an interiorsupport laprojectingbeyond the plane of the rim 0;.
What I claim is The design for a center-bearing frame for engines, substantially as set forth.
