TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, LEVI HEYWOOD, of Gardner, in the County of W'orcester, and State of' Massachusetts, have invented a new Design for a Chair, of which the following is a. full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings making part of this specification, in which Figure 1 is a front elevntion of :t chair, representing my new design.

Figure 2 is a side elevntion of' the same.

My invention consists in a new design for the braees which hold the legs and seat of the chair together, as will now be described.

In the said drawings, A is the sent, and B B the legs of' the chair. Between the legs, and secured thereto and to the seat A, are four braecs, C, each of which is made in one piece, and bent around so as to form :in arch, thus giving a neat and ornamental appearance to the chair. The bent piece D, which forms the buck, eneloses two scrolls, a; the baek; however, may be of any other form, as my invention consists only in the design of the braccs which hold the legs and sent of' the chair together.

Claim. What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is The design for the bruces C, which serve to hold the legs and sent of a chair together, substantially :is shown and described.
