DESIGN FOR A TOOL FOR WORKING PLASTIC MATERIAL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,830, dated March 30, 1897. Application filed July 30, 1896. erial No. 601,123. Term of patent 14 years.
To (LZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FREDERICK IT. CRAFTS, of Rochester, in the county of Monroe, in the State of New York, have invented a new and useful Design for a Handle for Tools for Working Plastic Material, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, showing a part thereof.
Figures 1 and 2 are respectively a top plan and a side elevation of atool for working plastic materials embodying my invention.
The leading feature of my design consists in an elongated body, a substantially central longitudinal rib projecting downwardly from the bottom face of the body and having its opposite side faces inclined downwardly toward each other, and an arched or howshaped handle formed throughout its length with transverse convolutions and having its opposite ends united to the opposite extremi- A represents the arched or bow-shaped handle, and a the transverse convolutions which are formed throughout the length of the handle and present the appearance of grooves in di'lferent planes. The opposite ends a a of the handle A are substantially parallel, and rise from the upper face of the body 13 of a tool embodying my design. body B is elongated and is arranged in a substantially horizontal plane directly beneath the handle A and substantially parallel and central therewith.

A tool embodying my design has a pleasing and characteristic appearance, and is particularly applicable for use in the formation of cement and artificial stone walks and in the manipulation of plastic materials.
WVhat I claim is The design for a tool for working plastic materials, substantially as shown and described.
