DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,234, dated March 3, 1896.
Application tiled January 31, 1896. Serial No. 577,632. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom t may concern:
Be it known that I, ARTHUR MIDDLETON ROSE, a citizen ofthe United States, and aresident of Yonkers, in the county of Iestchester and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets and Borders, of which the following is a specification.
This invention is composed of two partsnamely, the design A for a carpet and the design B for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification conveys to any one a clear understanding,lr of the same and is sniiicient to enable such person to use niy invention.
The design A is characterized by curving and spiral stern forms, interspersed with small bunches of iiowers and by a central irregular figure having a pendent chain.
The border B is characterized by conventional spiral forms with pendent chains of buds, interspersed ferns and strings of flowers and leaves.
That I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-n l. In a design for carpet, the body A substantially as shown.

The design for carpet comprising the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
