SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,570, dated Angust 13, 1895.

Application iiled June 15,1895. Serial No. 552,956. Term of patent 3% years.

To @ZZ whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JOHN MERRY, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, and a resident of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpet and Border, of which the foilowiug is a specification.

This invention comprises two parts-namely, the design A for a carpet and the design B for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing aeoornpanyingtbis specification con- Veys to any one skilled in the art a clear understanding of the same, and is sucient to enable such person to use my invention.

.The design A is characterized by large floral wreaths constituting the leading feature thereof, and the design B is characterized by large iioral Wreaths and an ornamental border constituting the leading feature thereof.

What I claim` and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In a design for a carpet, the body Asubstantially as shown.

2. In a. design for a Carpet, the border B substantially as shown.

3. The design for a carpet, the body A and the border B substantially as shown.
