EDGAR A. EIHVARDS,
OF CINCINNATI, OIIIt SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,754, dated October 30, 1894.
Application filed September 21, 1894- Serial No. 523,747. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
lie it known that I, EDGAR A. EDW'ARDS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, have inventeda new and original Deign for Headlight-Cases, of which the following is a specification.
My present invention comprises a new design for a head-light case, the essential features of which will now be set forth with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1, is a perspective elevation of a head-light case embodying my new design. Fig. 2, is a longitudinal vertical section of the case; and Fig. 3, is a rear elevation thereof.
My design comprises a base A, from which rises a circular column B, which is tapering from the base upward, and is merged into a cylindrical shell 0, while extending beyond the cylindrical shell as a practical continuation of the column is the tubular extension D. Extending laterally and merging into the cylindrical shell 0, are the cylindrical extensions E, E. These elements constitute the essential features of my new design.
In practice, the cylindrical shell, which is closed at one side by the curved portion 0, and which is provided with a hollow extension G has at the other side an annular opening F, and an extension G, projecting at an angle thereto. The cylindrical shell has also on one side angular extensions II.
The lateral cylindrical entensions E, E, are closed at their outer extremities by circular plates I, having a central opening.
Between the cylindrical shell and the annular opening F, is a flaring flangef.
The essential features of my new design comprise a base, circular column, cylindrical shell, cylindrical extension, and lateral cylindrical extensions, constituting a unitary and aesthetic effect.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a head-light case, substantially as described and shown.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
EDGAR A. EDIVARDS.
