DESlGN FOR A LAMP-FOUNT HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 23,671, dated October 2, 1894.
Application filed August 24, 1894. Serial No. 521,246- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, JOHN C. MILLER and EDWARD SCHMITZ, of W'aterbury, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Lamp- Fount Holders; and we do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification.
The figure is a perspective View of a lamp fount holder, embodying our design.
Our invention relates to a design for lamp fount holders, and consists in the configuration and ornamentation as hereinafter de- 7 scribed and shown in the accompanying illustration.
The body of our design is of bowl shape, its lower end contracted toward the base. The
ornamentation consists of a series of substantially circular shields A, extending around the largest diameter of the bowl, and each of the shields is surrounded by four shell ornamentations B. The space between the shell 25 ornamentations Bis filled by a large leaf-like ornamentation C. Below the shields the body is of lattice work D, merging at the lower ends into leaf ornamentations E and terminating in a plain ring F. The whole is surmounted 30 by two parallel bands G H, which are united by lattice work I.
