SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,547, dated March 3, 1891. Application filed February 6, 1891. Serial No. 380,507- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HERMAN IHLENBURG, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for a Font of Type, of which the following is a specification.
My design for a font of type is clearlyillustrated in the accompanying typographical impression.
The general character of the type is that of a light-faced solid fancy letter; and the font consists of the upper and lower case and the numerals. The cross-lines of the letters 'A, E, F, H, and R are above the center of the letter. The scroll of the letter J is short, While the inner lines of the letter M are joined at the center of the letter. The tail of the letter Q extends Well into the body of the let- C. F. HUGH, HERMAN METIUs.
