DESIGN FOR SPEAKING-TUBES.
Specification formin g part ofDesign No. l 1, 544, dated December 16,1879; application filed November 28,1879. [Term of patent 14 years] To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAM R. OSTRAN- DER, of N ewYork,in the county of New York and State of New York, have originated and invented a new and useful Design for Speaking-Tubes; and 1 do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part of this specification, in which- I Adesignates a shell or barrel, which is formed with a cylindrical part, a, beveled ends b, terminating in vertical parallel sides I), and an annular rib, 0, upon the cylindrical part a, and located intermediate of the beveled ends.
D designates the flaring or bell-mouthed mouth-piece, which extends out from one end of the shell or barrel A, and E a cylindrical tube, which extends out from the remaining end of the said shell, all substantially as shown.
hat I claim is The design for a speaking-tube whistle having the shell or barrel A, with a cylindrical part, a, beveled ends I), terminated by parallel flat surfaces 1), annular rib 0 upon its cylindrical part and intermediate of its ends, and the flaring mouth-piece D, projecting from one end of the shell or barrel, substantially as shown.
