Specification forming part of Design No. 10,742, dated July 9, 1878; application filed Juno 12, 1878.

Be it known that I, NATHANIEL L. BRAD- LEY, of Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Glock-Cases; and I do hereby declore the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the saine, which said drawing constitutes part of this speciliention, and represents a front View.
This invention relates to a design for that class of clocks in which the cases are cylindrical in form, such as are usually made from sheet metal; and the invention consists in the ornamentation, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
The outline of the body of the clock is of substantially the usual forni.
Beneath the clock, from the center, a foliated branch extends to the right and left, and from these branches a. leg extends out- Ward and turns downward, exposing the kneejoint, and terminating in the foot, representing the support for the clock.
The case is surmounted by an ornament,
consisting of an open frame expanding from thecase upward, with a semicirenlar tip, and with a lea-f ornament on each side at the foot of the frame extending onto the case of the clock, and also tnrnin g upward onto the frame, all as shown in the accompanying illustration; and on the face ofthe frame a thermometer is arranged.
I claim- 1. The design for support for clock case, consisting of the foliated branch to the right and left from the center below the case, with a leg extending from each branch and termnating in the foot, as shown in the accompa nying illustration.
2. The design for ornament for clock-case, consisting of the upwardly-expanding frame terminating in a semicircular tip, with a leaf to the right and left from the foot of the frame onto the case and up onto the frame, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
