DESIGN FOR HINGES.

Specification forming part of Design No. 10,715, dated June 11, 1878; application filed May 13,1-78.

[Term of patent 14 years] plates of a shutter or blind hinge; and con-` sists in the configuration of the parts as shown in the accompanying illustration.

A is the one plate, andB the other, on which, respectively, the parts to form the joint are made. The out-line of these plates presents aright angle, a, at top and bottom. A concave recess, d, starts from the edge a short distance from the angles, then vturns outward to form a convex projecting tongue, e. On the face of the plates a raised bead is made, following this outline, this outline constituting the peculiar characteristic of this design.

I am aware that blind or shutter hinges of this class have been made with irregular-shaped sides, such as may be seen in Patents Nos. 7 ,237 and 9.339, and therefore claim nothing shown in said patents.

I claim- The design for blind or shutter hinge, consisting of the configuration of the plates A B, as shown in the accompanying illustrationthat is to say, with a right angle, a, at the top and bottom, forming a straight portion at each side, the concave recesses d starting from the said straight portion and runnin g into the central convex projections e.
