Be it known that 1', Hain-zr G. Kronen, a
citizen of the United States, residingr at.
Holdrege, in the county of Phelps and State of Nebraska, have invented certain new and 'useful improvements in Grsin-Shockers, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in grain shockers.
The object of my invention is to provide an improved mechanism for forming shocks from sheaves asthey are discharged from the binder and place same in an upright position on the ground.
iinotl'ier object is to provide a novelv nation and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter morev fully described and particularly pointed out in the appended claims, it being understood. that changes in the speciiic structure shown and described may be made within the scope of the claims withont departing from the spirit of the invention.

On the opposite side from the Wheel 5 are attached hinged brackets 7 which join the shockery with the binder. Said binder constituting no part of my invention, is not shown.

The bottom 9 is inclined at the forwardend as at 11. Extending inwardly from the sides 1 of the frame and toward the sides 10 of the trough are the brackets 12, and from the sides 10 toward the sides 1 extend the brackets 16. |Ihe brackets 12, 16 are formed with vertical openings to receive the shafts 13, the openings in the inner! ends of the brackets 12 registering with those in the brackets `16. The shafts 19 have keyed to their lower ends the bevel gear pinions 29 which mesh with the bevel gear pinions 30, keyed to the shait 31. which is revolubly mounted n'rbcarings 32 fastened on the under side of the tramework. Keyed to the shaft 31 is the geared pinion 33, which meshes with the gear wheel l39 which carries at its upper end a curved arm 40. A pin 41extending upward from the Iside of the trough limits the forward movement of the arm 40. Around the shaft 39 ismounted a coil spring 42 one end of which 4is fastened to one of the bearings 38,
