Pressing against the sides of the cam 24: are the sprlng arms 28, 28 which are preferably the opposite ends of a piece of spring metal such as phosphor-bronze .bent in the U- shaped form as, shown in Fig. 6. These arms press equally against the opposite sides of the cam. 24 when the switch is; in the. off position. T v v When the operating shaft 22 is rotated from the position shown in fall line in Figs; 2, 5 and 6 to the'position shownfin dotted lines in Figs. 2 and 6 the cam 24is rotatedwith the shaft and forces the spring arms-28, 28 apart. As the cam 241 is turned the pres sure of the Spring arms 28, 28'causes the cam to be snapped suddenly .over. into the dotted line position.
