known that l, lVrLLrAM ELLIOTT, of lfitisburg, in the county of Allegheny and State el nnsylvania, have invented a new and useful lmprovemerrtJ in Motors, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, 'reference being had to the accompanying` drawings, forming part of this specification, in-which Figure 1 isa longitudinal section of' one form of motor embodying my invention; Fig. 2 is a View partly in front elevation and partly in transverse section; Fig. 3 is a View similar to Fig. 1 showing a modification, and Fig". 4t 'is a section on the. line lV-IV of Fig. 3.
My inventionY has relation to rotary motors, and is designed toprovide a motor which shall be simple and compact in its construction; and in which the parts are so constructed and assembled as to render them readily accessible as to renewal or repairs.
The nature ofV my invention will be best understood by reference to the accompanying drawings in -which l have shown the v preferred embodiments thereof, and which In the drawings the numeral 2 designates an outer casing or shell` formed at its front and rear ends with the heads and l respectively. When the motor is to be used for the purpose of operating boiler tube `cleaning tools, the motor being carriedthrough the boiler tubes with the cleaning tools, the casing or shell together with the heads, are of cylindrical form, as shown; but for other purposes the shape of the casing or shell and heads may be modified as may be desired. y

The disk 12 seats between the front end of the cylinder and the flange 8 of the bushing 6, While the disk or plate 11 seats between the rear Aend of the cylinder and the iiange 14 at the inner end of the rear bushing 7. The bushing 7 is a split bushing and is seated in a cap member 15' which is provided with a space or chamber 16 at the rear of the bushing 7 to receive a head Aor collar 17 on the rear end of the. shaft 5. This collar has a thrust bearingagainst the rear end of the bushing 7 to prevent any endwise movement'V to the shaft 5 in a forwarddirection; and the shaft has ansh'oulder 18 fitting against the inner end oi the bushing 7 to take up end thrusts inthe opposite direction. A space or chamber 19 is left behind the head roiecollar 17; and from this space a vent passage 20 extends `obliquely through the cap 15 and connects at its outer end with a` -discharge opening 21 in the shellcasing 2.
