Be it known that I, WILLIAM W. WILsoN,v
a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cookand State of Illinois, have invented. certain new and of which t e following is a speci cation.
The object of my invention is to provide im roved means where y it will be im osof an adding mac ine tion with the printing mechanism. It sometimes happensthat in the useof adding machines, as now constructed, the operator will move the paper carriage out of operative relation with the printin mechanism for the urpose of inspecting t e work-previously one, and upon resumin operations will impress a number upon the eyboard of the machine and pull'the operating handle before restoring the paper carriage to operative position. The effect of this is to enter a number in' the accumulator of the adding machine 'without printin said number.
