in the county of Salt Lake and State of Utah, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Folding Ironing-Boards, of Wh'lCll the following is a speclficatlon, reference being had therein to the accompany- I ing drawing.

This invention relates to ironing tables and theprincipal object of the same is to provide novel means whereby the table may be supported from a wall of a room in a manner that permits the same to be readily swung to a position for use or swung in position parallel to the wall so that it will oecupy a small amount of space when not in use.

In carrying out the objects of the invention generally stated above it will be understood, of course, that the essential features thereof are necessarily susceptible of changes in details and structural arrangements, one preferred and practical embodiment of which is shown in the accompanying draw.- ings, wherein:1*igurel is a perspective view of the ironing table as it appears when ready for use. Referring to said accompanying drawings by nun'ierals, it will be seen that the improved ironing table comprises a wall engaging frame that is formed of the spaced parallel vertical side members 1-lthat are suitably attached to'studding A or other portions of a wall. Said side membcrshave their upper end portions connected by the horizontal bar 2 and their lower end connected by a similar bar 3. Side member 1 has an angular abutment plate 4 pro ectliig from its outer surface below the. bar 2, and said member also has one end of a resilient strip 5 fastened thereto, said strip 5 being outwardly inclined and having ts free end portion bent at substantially right angles and projected toward the side member to provide a rest 6 that is slidable in a trans-- verse slot 7 formed in said member. As will be clear from the foregoing, the board 9 is supported in position for useby means of the engagement of the grooved end thereof with the bars 2 and S and the brace bars '13. To fold the board, rest 6 is pressed into the slot of side member 1 so that bar 8 will be permitted to drop to a. vertical position, whereupon the board may be rocked to the position shownin Figs. 2 and 4 and by means of hooks'15 carried by members 1, l and eyes 16 carried by the board, retained in an upright position parallel to the wall. 'hat I claim as my invention is 1. An ironing table comprising a frame provided with wall-engaging side members, a. bar connecting the upper ends thereof, a supporting bar pivotally connected to one side member, means carried by the other side member for normally retaining the supporting bar in spaced parallel relation to the connecting bar, a board having a grooved end adapted to be fitted between the connecting bar and the supporting bar, and braces pivotally connecting the said board to the said side members.

One end of the' supporting bar having one end pivotally connected to one portion of said frame, a resilient seat carried by said frame for normally supporting the free end of the supporting bar, braces pivotally connected to said frame, and a board pivotally connected to said braces and adapted to have one end seated on the supporting bar and engaged by the connecting bar.

3. An ironing table comprising a, Wall frame formed of side members and a connecting bar for the upper ends thereof, a

supporting bar pivotally connected to one side member, an abutment plate -carried by the other side member, a resilient seat also carried by said side member and adapted to normally retain the free end of the supporting bar in engagement with said abutment,

a boardadapted to have one end su ported between said bars, and braces pivota 1y connecting said board to said side members.
