It will be noted that the brid e 19, 20, across the trunk line was remove as a rccu lt of the party at station 11 depressing the trunk key T, and therefore the continuity of the trunk line is maintained during the conversation only by the contacts of the switch hooks. When the party at station II J hangs up'thc receiver at the'end of the conversation this continuity is thereby destroyed and th usual disconnect signals given at the central otlice.
