This invention relates to al wood veneer re air member.

With this and other objects in View the present invention consists'in the combina tion and arrangement of parts, as will be hereinafter more fully described and particularly pointed out in the a pended claims it being understood ythat c anges iny the specific structure shown and described may be made Within the scope of the claims Without departing from the spirit of the invention.

In Fig. 2, the -Wood section A is'shown as split at a, the fractured edges' being secured by means of three of my repair members. The two terminal members are so positioned that one terminal clenching oint 6 cuts transversely across the grain, Just ahead of the crack or fracture. Thus when. the crack finally reaches the transverse incisionmade bythe terminal clench point 6, further progress of the fracture is arrested. These end clencliing points are slightly dished, as shown in Fi 3, andare not quite as' long as are the si e clenchin points, so that the end points will not buc (le on being forced into or through the Wood.
In certain cases the end are not necessary so that I have devised a modification as shown in F-ig. 4 Where the outer edges 10 of the points are continued until they meet. M made of 'so-called rib on metal and are separated at their meeting points.
