By the employment: of my novel device the upholsterinr of articles as chair seats or equivalent constructions may he very rapidly and eeonomimilly carried out and the proper tension given to the cover so that the cover may be secured to the seat in such a manner as to present a neat and artistic ported appearance.

By mounting the head so that the same is non-rotatable a direct thrust is obtained on the seat when the presser head 90 lowered so that there is no danger of the seat being twisted or historic-(l from its position during cover thereto.
