Pittsburg, in the county of Alleghenyand State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Telephone-Mouthpieces, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to improvements in ,telephone mouthpieces and refers particu-l larly to the construction of a mouthpiece having novel means same.

One oi' the objects of the invention-is thev construction of a telephone mouthpiece having an improved removably secured disinfectant container whereby the mouthpiece may be kept in a sanitary state and the disinfecting materialA may be when exhausted.

Vith the above and other objects in view the invention embraces certain constructions,

Referring to the accompanying drawings,

which are prepared for illustrative purposes and are vnot drawn to scale, l denotes a supporting member and 2 a transmitter head'o`r box, which is pivotally connected to the member l telephone mouthpiece-il is suitably secured. ln order to maintain the mouthpiece el in a sanitary condition a disinfectant container 5 is secured by means of screw threads formed thereon to said mouthpiece L The disinfectant container is provided with'a cap G, adapted to close the lower end of the same,

In Figs. 8 and 4 a modification of the invention is illustrated comprising a plug or container 8, which'is formed with a reduced screw threaded end 9 and is screwed on the mouthpiece Lt, as at l0, Fig. t which connecting plug is formed tubular. In the container' plug 8, which is formed with a elosed lower end 8a, a quantity of'disinfecting'material l1 is located.

In both .forms of the invention the disinfecting material in the containers can be readily renewed. In the form illustrated in Figs. l, 2 and 2, this is accomplished by unscrewing the ca and in theorm il ustrated in Figs. 3 and il, this is accomplished byunscrewing the container 8 from the mouthpiece. Both Jforms of the invention present a neat appearance.

Having described my invention l claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent 1. In combination with a telephone mouthpiece having a' screw threaded opening, an antiseptic container secured thereto through the medium 0f a screw threaded hollow, plug, the top of said plug being iush with theinterior wall o't' said mouthpiece.

2. In combination with a telephone mouthpiece having a screw threaded opening, an antiseptic container secured thereto through the medium ot'a screw threaded hollow plug, the top of said plug being tlush with the interior Wall of said mouthpiece, said container having its bottom portion removably secured thereto.
