To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Orro A. BERGER, citizen of theUnited States, residing at Oakland, in the county of Alameda and State of California, have invented newand useful Improvements in Toilet-Seat Attachments, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to a toilet-seat attachment, and pertains especially to a mechanism for holding, feeding, and spreading paper over the seat for protective purposes.

The invention consists of the parts and the construction and combination of parts as hereinafter more "fully described and claimed, having reference to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure l is a 'iront elevation showing the lever in the extended position and the seat covered. Fig. 2 is a plan View of same. Fig. 3 is a section oi the sleeve and rod, showing the crank-arms connected. Fig. 4 is a longitudinal section of the sleeve arm, showing the spring catch and rod. The object of time mounting the armand connecting it by the link 15 is to keep the jaw members 9 as close to the seat as possible in the oscillating movements of the arm 11. The under side of the sleeve is cut out so as to permit of the attachment of the grip pets 10 to the rod 13. Also there is connected to the rod 13 an arm 17' to which a link 18 is attached or a spring lQ acts on the link normally to press the jaws 910 together. The manual opening of the jaws 9-- 16 is efiected by means of'a handle 20 on the rod 13. The outward movement of the arm 11 away from the roll is limited by a suitable stop or rubber bufier 21, and the accidental return of the arm toward the roll after stretching the paper or other protective material is limited by suitable means, as the do 22 pivoted to the arm and engaging a suitable catch 23. Having thus described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is-.--
