'To all whom it may concern.
Be, it known that I, JO N R. FORTUNE, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at-Detroit,,in the county of Wayne and $tate of Michigan,-l1'a've invented certain new and useful Improvements in Protec'tingCaps for Furnace Bridge-Walls, of which the fol-lowingis a specification, reference being had therein'to the accompanying drawings.
-' In furnaces where-. there is a bridge wall at i the rear of the grate bars with its top in the plane of said grates and especially insmoke consuming furnaces having inclined grates andl a correspondingly inclined wall adja'-;
