LADOVIGE DANIEL REECE, OF DES MOINES, IOWA.
SAW-HANGER.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Lanovror. DANIEL Rnnon, a citizen of the United States of America, and resident of Des Moines, Polk county, Iowa, have invented a new and useful Saw-Hanger, of which the following is ings, my improved device consists of a box having an end wall 1, side walls, 2 and 3, an outer end wall or flange on each side wall, longitudinal flanges t and 5 in converging planes and spaced apart to form a V-shaped slot 6. Rollers 7 and 8 are contained in the box and covered by tubes 9 and 10V made of yielding, compressible, elastic material such as rubber. The box is mounted on a suitable support by fastening means, not shown, extended through holes 11 in the end wall 1. The rollers rest loosely in the box with their Specification of Letters Patent.

tubes in contact and on or above the flanges 4 and 5. The side walls 2 and 3 are on converging planes and cause the rollers to tend by gravity toward each other.
In operation, a saw a is projected upwardly through the slot 6, to separate and project between the rollers 7 and 8. After having been extended between said rollers a suflicient distance, the saw is released, whereupon the saw becomes jammed between the rollers, due to their frictional contact therewith, with suflicient force to support the same.
I claim as my invention A saw hanger composed of a box having converging side walls, an end wall, aflange on each side wall, which flanges extend inwardly, and longitudinal converging flanges which extend upwardly from said flanges of the side walls, and a pair of rollers arranged in said box above the inner ends of said converging flanges, said rollers being loosely arranged in said box andbeing normally in frictional contact with each other and in contact with the respective converging walls of the box.
Signed by me at Des Moines, Iowa, this twenty-second day of January, 1908.
LADOVIOE DANIEL REECE.
