The subject-matter 0f the pres'ent inven-' tion is an improved incandescerit 1amp for liquid combustibles.

In order that the invention 111ay be eiearly understood reference is made to the aceo'1npanying drawing in whiehone embodiment is represented in Figure 1 in vertical sectional elevation by way of example. Fig. 2 1S a di=taii. Fig. 3 is a vertical section 0f the burner-head on a 1arger scale.

Referring t0 the drawing, in the improved incandescent 1arnp for liquid combustib1es, particularly f01 petroleum, a vessei 1 for a combustible is arranged in the npper part of the lamp attached t0 the outer eyhnder 2. The cornbustible the vessel 1, provided with a fil ing opening 3, through a su ply pipe 4 by means of the tap 5 to a nee le-valve 6; by adjusting the .latter the eombustible is allowed t0 flow in desiredqmntities td the asifier 7. A tube 9 passin in the inner ey inder 8 above the highest evel of the combustible is connected to the gasifiet 7, and is bent downwardly, es clearly shown, the part 10 being bent near its bottom end end conneeted by the portion llto a nozzle 12.

In orde to be able to put the gasifier 7 and the tu es 9, 10, 11in position the lower part 0f the cylinder 8 is made of two parts 13 end 14; the latter ar'e assembled after the gasifier 7 end the tube 9, 10, 11 with the nozz1e 12 have been put in position. 'Opposite the nozzle 12 there is arran ed the mouth of the mixing pipe 15 which as at its lowest part a reeeptacle 16 for colleeting condensed combustible. Into this receptacle 16 there projects a metal tube or metal rod 17 which conducts the heat emitted by the flame intq the receptacle nd gasifies the combustible liquid c0l1ected thereinl The mixing t ube 15 ends in anupwardl'y directed ortion 18 carrying the head of the burner. This burner-head consists of the -two parts 19 and 20 which are connected asses from ca.n be easily detached, for example by me'ans of screw-threads or a bayqnet-joint. A diaphragm of ganze or a sieve 22 is Placed 0n the shoulder 21 cf the paxt 19 and a sieve24= on the part 23. The latter is a fitting which rests on the partitiofi .0f ganze 22 and is held in position by the part 20, as elear1y shown in Fig. 3. Instead 0f twosieves more than two may be arranged, in order toeertainly pr'event the flame flashing back under any circumstamces.

In the ficting 23 there is atta ched the carrier 25 for carrying the mantle 26. Above the mantle an igniting dish 27 is ar-' ranged whieh is fed' with sp1rit or the like through a pipe 28. Ignition is efl'ected by means of the ipe 29namely afte1 the .spirit in the -dis has been ignited b hand, a. small flame burns at the lower en of the gipe 29 end ignites the vapors which rise rom the burner-head owing t0 the heat of the large spirit flame rising from the dish. Air is admitted by means of the hol es 30 in the body of the lamp, ab the inner side 0f which holes protecting pieces of sheet metal 31 a.re arranged in order to prevent the air chamber tangentially and p&SSGS jthl0kl%h holes 32 (Fig. 1) to the flame.
