In the drawings forming a portion of this specification, and in which like characters of reference indicate similar parts in the several views, Figure 1 is a vertical central section of the washer, Fig. 2 is a horizontal section on line 4 4 of Fig. 1.
Referring tothe drawings, 10 designates a cylindrical receptaclewhich is provided with a bottom 11 and a base 12. The base12 comprises a depending flange disposed Vabout the edge of the bottom 11 for the purpose of raislng the same a short distance above the ground. The bottom 11 is provided with a valve 13 for the escape of the water from thedreceptacle 10 when the same has been use The receptacle 10 is provided with an outwardly turned flange A at its up er edge, receiving thereupon the flange B ofJ a cover 14 which is hermetically sealed upon the ange of the receptacle 10 by means Aof the clasps 15. -Thel cover 14 is of convex formaplace by the claspsI l5.
consisting of arcuate arms 20 which radiatetherefrom and which are curved downwardly at their outer extremities to support the paddles 2l which are formed integral therewith and which extend to the bottom 11 and are employed in agitating the water contained in the receptacle 10. The paddles 21 comprise metallic plates which are perforated to allow the water to pass through them, and which have oppositely located recesses C in their side'edges.
A circular ange 22 is centrally formed upon the bottom 11 upon the upper face thereof to receive and to hold in rigid position acircular wire basket-23 in whichare placed the dishes to be washed.
In operation, the cover 14 is removed from the receptacle 10 and the basket 23 is removed to place the dishes therein. When the basket 23 is lled it is replaced in the receptacle 10 and the cover 14 is secured in The handle 19 is now rotated when the arms 2 0 are caused to revolve and to carry the paddles 21 through .the water placed in the receptacle 10 about and through the basket 23. The water can be drawn from the receptacle 10 through the valve 13 when it is desired to 'change the" same.
