Be it known that I, EDWIN T. PETERS, e citizen of the United States, and a resident of Lincoln, in the county of Lancaster andvbeing broken away. Fig. 2 is a section on the line 2-2 of Fig. 1.
ln the present embodiment of the invention, the easement l is provided with upper sind lower sashes, 2, 3, slidable in grooves e in the sides of the easement, and separated by the parting Strip 5. v n the lower pocket is arranged en extensible weter tight pan comprising an upper section l1, and n lower section 10, the upper section 11 being slidable in the lower section 10 us clearly shown in Fig. 2, end the upper section is attached to the sill as also shown in the said figure.
The upper sash is provided with a. Bunge l2 secured to the bottom thereof, having e sliding engagement with the lower sash whereby to close the opening between' the upper and lower sash when said saslies are not closed, the meeting rails of the sash closing suchl opening when vthe sashes are closed.
