BAKING-PAN.
To all whom it may coawem: y
Be it known that I, JOHN FAnIA Oos'rA, citizen of United States, residing at Watsonville, in the county of Santa Cruz and State of California, have invented new and useful Improvements in Baking-Pans, of which the blank with as many pan units .in the blank as desired; these units being readily folded in the desired shapeand-held in a permanent rigid structure by a single rim wire.
The invention consists of the parts and the construction and combination of parts as hereinafter more fully described and claimed, having reference to the accompanying drawings, in which 1 Figure 1 is a perspectiveview, showing a double row of pans. Fig. 2 is a bottom view of same. Fig. 3 is a pers ective view,
showing a single row of pans.v ig. lshows a blank, for the form shown in Fig 3. Fig.- 5 shows a blank for the form shown in Fig.1. The pan may be made up in either single or multiple rows of pan units. Fig. trepresents a blank suitable for a single row of pan units, and Fig. 5 representsa blank for a double row of pan units. I For a single row I employ a piece of sheetmetal of suitable weightand size, and cut this blank to rovide'a rectangular bottom portion A, end panels 2, and sld'e panels 3,
The lengthv of the end panels 2 just equals the width of a pan section, so that when the ends are folded u to-form a pan, as in Figs. 1 and 2, the ends will just fit inside the similarly upturned side panels; while the side panels are made with an extra length,- represented by the border 5, which border is bentover the end panels toclose the joints.
The outeror longer edge of'each side panel 3 is provided with an additional border section' 6, and alsothe outside side panels of a blank are provided'with additional borders Specification of Letters Patent.

completed structure.

. 7 ,these border portions 6 and 7 being adapted to be bent over the rim wire 8.
If a double row-of pans is wanted, a blank such as shown in Fig. 5 is used, in which-the intermediate end panels arefintegrally con-- 'nected along the line 9, just as the i'ntermediate side panels are along the lines 4.
To make up a pan from a blank such as integrally connected represented by Fig. 1, a blank such as shown in Fig. 5 is folded so that the side andend panels are bent upward and the end sections 5 clenched to'inclose the pan units, thetinterally connected intermediate panels being folded along the lines 4 and 9, and the border sections 6 and 7 being suitably clenched over the rim wire 8. This rim wire 8 for a multiple row pan is an important feature of the invention, and the manner ofits bendingis shown in Fig. 2 which is an underneath view of the panof Fig. 1. One end of this wire, as a, is passed around one row of pan sections, and the'other end of the wire is passed completely around the other row 'of sections, the free ends of the wire then being twisted together down between the rows and terminating substantially as shown.
This triple folding of the wires down. the middle of the units gives additional strength, rigidity and neatness of appearance to the It is manifest that any number'of an units may be struck out from a'single S1? of metal, and these pan units may be of any setsuitable size. Furthermore, the completed pan, no matter its size, or number of units, is made up of but two arts, the sheet-metal body and the wire rein orcing. rim.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is v 1. Abread pan comprising a lurality of pan units, each unit comprising a ottom'por- -tion and integrally connected endand side panels, the intermediate panels being integrally connected, and all the panels and bottoms being struck from a single piece of sheet metal, and a single rim wire extending around the pan and underneath the integrally connected intermediate panels.
' 2. A bread-pan comprising a plurality of panunits, each unit consisting of a bottom portion and integrally connected end and side panels, said panels being substantially trapezoidal in shape, the intermediate panels being integrally connected, and all the panels intertwisted.
and bottoms struck from a single piece of sheet-metal, the rim edges of the outside panels of the several units being folded over a single rim Wire, said wire extending around the pan and underneath the integrally con-- nected intermediate panels, and the ends An improved baking pan having multiple pan units comprising a piece of sheet metal cut out to provide a plurality of rectangular bottom sections, each bottom section having integral end panels and side panels, the intermediate end and side panels being integrally connected and all the panels intermediate panels.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand In presence of two subscribing witnesses.
