out sufficient of the dove-tail projection 20 Without taking any metal from the frame If desired the dove-tail groove and p ojection may be reversed, the groove being formed in the core-plates and the projection being formed in the fraine lfl, as clearly shown in Fig. 2.
Although I have illustrated and described my invention as applied to a stationary armature, it is equally applicable to a rotating armature, and I aim in the appended claims to cover this and all other modifications which do not depart from the spirit of the invention,
Having thus described my invention, What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. in a dynamo electric machine, a frame, a laminated core, a dove-tail connection be tween core and frame, clamping bolts for holding the laminae of said core together,
- each bolt lying in a passageway formed between the dove-tail projection and dove-tail groove of said connection.
2. In a dynamo electric m'echine, a supporting frame having ventilated openings andrribs or rejections separating the said openings, a aminatcd core having circumferential ventilatlng openings commonest ing with the openings in the frame, the laminee of the core being secured to said ribs, 1
and transverse bolts for clamping the lamesaero into together located at the ribs or projections between the latter and the laminse.
3. In a dynamo-electric machine, a frame having radial ribs and ventilating openings between said ribs, a laminated core having ventilating openings and fastened to said ribs, and transverse clamping bolts for the laminae, said bolts being located atthe radial ribs of the frame in passageways between the ribs and the laminae.
l. In a dynamo-electric machine, a frame having projecting ribs and ventilating passages between the ribs, a laminated core having circumferential ventilating openings communicating with the ventilating openings in i116 frame, said core being secured to the projecting ribs on the frame, and bolts extending across core for clamping the laminae together, said bolts being locatedin slots in the projecting ribs so not to ob struct the ventilating passageways.
5. In a dynamo-electric machine, a frame having ribs, a laminated core supported on said ribs, and transverse clamping bolts for the lamina: located in passageways between the laminai and the said ii 5.
In testimony whereof I ahix my signature, in the presence of two Witnesses.
