It will be obvious that the construction illustrated and described may be easily modified to enable various numbers and points to be 0 erated.
What I. claim as my 40 to secure by Letters Patent in the United States of America, is l 1. In railway and tramway point and switch operating a paratus, the combination of a main trac a side track, movable oints at the junction of the main and side tracks, tie bars connecting the said points, a slotted arm on the tie bar, a lever situated adjacent to the points, a rocking shaft adapte ed to be operated by the lever, a rocking arm on the shaft, means upon the rocking arm for engaging with the slot in arm on the tie'bar, a vehicle adapted to travel upon the main and side tracks, and means situated upon the vehicle and adapted to actuate the lever.
2. In railway and tramway point and switch operating apparatus, the combination of a main track, a lurality of side'tracks, movable points at t e junction of the main and side trac tie bars connectin the pairs of oints, a slotted arm on each. tiefimr, a plura ity of levers situated adjacent to the points, a plurality of rocking shafts each of which is adapted to be operated by one of the levers, rocking arms on the shafts, means upon each rocking arm for engaging with the slot in each order to =side trac side track.
