As shown, the magnet is provided with an armature 2, which is pivotally carried by a yoke 3, which in-turn is removably fastened to'the shell 4 of the magnet by means of spring catches 5. The armature carries a latch 6, which extends forward over the magnet shell to normally hold the shutter 9 closed. The purpose of detachably su porting the yoke on the shell is to provi e means whereby the armature may be detachedand the coil within the shell removed when desired. I

Tt is obvious that the construction above set forth may bechanged and varied without departing from the spirit of this invention, and I do not-limit or confine myself to the exact construction described.
7 Having described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to protect by Letters Patent, is
