To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LEE DANIELS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Placerville, in the county of Eldorado and State of California, have invented new and useful Improvements inqtotary Pumps, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to rotary pumps of the type including an eccentrically mounted piston and an independently movable gate.
' The primary object of my invention-is to provide means whereby the piston may be readily and quickly adjusted to compensate for any wear thereof.
With the above and other objects in view,
the invention consists of the construction,
combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter fully described, claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, where- 1n:

Referring to the drawings by reference numerals, 2 designates an open ended cylinder, and 3-4 the heads thereof, The cylinder 2 is formed withvertical flan es 5, and the heads 3-4 are formed with io'rizontal flanges 6 which are ada ted to engage oyer' theflanges 5 when the eads are in applied posltlon. Theheads are secured in position y bolts 7 and nuts 8, the bolts bein passed through the flanges 5 and the bee The cyllnder 2 is provided with an'intake port 9 and a dischar e port 10 which communicate 'nally extending recesses 11 formed in the inner wall of the cylinder,
which inner wall is also formed with recesses 12. The recesses 12 extend from one side wall of each recess 11 andgradually diminish into the inner wall of. the cylinder 2. The cylinder 2 is formed with coupling bosses 13-14 inclosing respectively the ports 9-10 and havin respectively connected therewith a disc arge pipe 15 and a' supply pipe 16. A longitudinally extending flange 17 is formed upon the under side and exteriorly of the cylinder 2, and provides means by which the pump may be secured to a suitable base or suppor-t. 1 The flange 17 isstrengthened and braced by a web 18 formed upon the under side of the cylinder and extending from the coupling boss 14 to the flange.
The heads 3-4 are provided with longitudinally alined and eccentrically arranged openings 19, and with a plurality of screwt readed openings 20 arranged in lanes conthe openings 19. At rust bearing 21 is formed at a point intermediate it's ends with an annular ange 22, the location of the flange providing a boss .23 which is ada ted to be received by the opening 19 in the ead 4. The flange 22 is provided with a number of segmental openings 24 which are arranged in a concentric plane, and through the medium of which the thrust bearing is adjustably secured in applied position by bolts 25 assed through the opening 24 and threaded y engaged with the openings 20 in the head 4. The bearing 0 ening 26 of the thrust bearing is eccentrical y arranged with relation to the lane in which the openings 24 are located. A stuffing box 27 is formed at a centric wit flange 28, the location of said flange providing a boss 29 adapted to be received by the opening 19 in the head 3.
