Should itbe desired to increase or decrease the quantity of the mixture the reducer 7 may be removed and one of a different capacity substituted in its stead. Then by turning the valve cylinder 10 the said cylinder will be moved longitudinally back or forthaccording to the direction in which it is turned vin order that the space between its inner end and the most contracted portion of the reducer may be regulated to a nicety. Thus, the space within which the mixing of the two elements takes place maybe increased or diminished at will to meet any requirement. l

-a reducer located in the casing, an having a cylindrical portion extending over the oil 1nlet, and abutting against the partition of the casing, and provided with an oil inlet port; a valve cylinder projecting into the casing, with its forward end fitting snugly into the cylindrical portion of the reducer, and adjustable therein, to enlarge, or diminishthe opening of the oil inlet port of the reducer, said valve cylinder having a steam inlet port; and an adjustable valve controlling the discharge of steam from said valve cylinder into the ture in the presence of two witnesses.
