Atnother object ot my invention is the method employed oi' constructing cams for' each draw-head which are pivoted in the chamber of each draw-head in such a way as to act upon the shank of one coupling device and the iiiciiued or arrow-pointed head of the opposed coupling device whereby, ,when movement is imparted to the operating lever, one extremity of the cani exerts a pressure agaiiist the 'lace ol' one coupling device and the other extremity against the shank oi the other, unlocking 'the coupling.
Another object of my inveiition'i's tojiorrn the contacting laces oi the jaws of the cou i ling devices slightly inclined toward tllie shank so that 'when the,v are uncoupled theI laces oll the jaws will be on a plane with eachy other permitting them to interlock readily leaving the jaws hooked together when coupled.

The purpose of these chambers to provide means of pivotally mounting therein the coupling devices' and operating mechanism described inoie particularly hereinafter. In the rear extremities of each draw-head suitable apertures are provided into which a pin 7 is fitted and secured to the top and lower wall of the draw-head. The
pin 7 is preferablyv formed with a reduced portion 8 leaving a shoulder 9 which rests upon the boss of the .draw-head thereby supporting the pin. The rear extremity 10 of each coupling device 6 is pivotally meunted u on the pins/7 leaving the arrow-pointed hea s 11 protruding beyond the counterpart notched forward extremities l2 of each drawhead. The leaf s rings 22 are attached to each draw hea by the bolt 24 which passes through suitable apertures provided in the sidewalls andthe end lof the springs.
