FOLDING HAT-STAND.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Dec. 3, 1907.
Application filed March 20.1907. Serial No. 363.357.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANZ GOERLINGER, a subject of the German Emperor, residing at Barmen, Germany, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Folding Hat-Stands, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a folding hatstand made from card-board which is constructed in such a manner that the hat-stand which when in position, consists of a vertical part ,with four vertical flaps standing at an angle to said vertical part, can be folded up when not in use, to form a fiat double piece of card-board.
In the accompanying drawings the improved hat-stand is shown in Figure 1 in front view, folded up. Fig. 2 is a ground plan of Fig. 3 shows the hat-stand in position, in ground plan.
The improved hat-stand consists of two pieces of card-board a which are of identical shape and united at the middle by rivets 0. At the right and left of the united middle part of the two pieces of card-board a vertical folds b are provided which permit, to place the flaps which have thus been formed, at an angle to the central part, whereby a hat-stand of great solidity is formed. When not in use the flaps are turned back whereby a flat double piece of card-board is formed, which can be easily stored without taking much room.
What I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is An improved folding hat-stand consisting of two pieces of card-board of identical shape, united by rivets at their middle and having vertical folds at the right and left of the united middle part whereby flaps are formed adapted to be placed at an angle to the middle part.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing vwitnesses.
