My invention relates to cash recorders prhorowith there employed c recon tab-- hit or similar device on. which the salesman or other operator makes an entry prior opening the cash drawer, Whether such entry be for the purpose of recording a sale money irecoived on. account, or cash paid out One objectv ol' the invention is to rovide means melting it necessary for such entry to be made before the opening of the cash receptecle.

A further object of the invention is to pro Vide such receptacle with a novel style of combination mechanism where the open-- ing of the rece 'itselc is normall prevented unless the proper combination be first op oted.v I

A further ohject of the invention is to provide devices of this chsracter with an alarm signal which will he sounded when there is any improper manipulation of the devices For opening the cash receptacle, and particularly when there is improper manipulation of the combination mechanism.

A still further object of the invention is "to provide means whereby the mechanism for opening the receptacle may be locked against operation tLS well as to provide means Whereby the combination niechanisnimuybe locked or set so as to render it inoil'ective to prevent opening ol the receptacle, as when cashier operates the some.

The invention consists in the improved cosh recorder herein-otter described, as defined in the claims.
