Be it known that I, SARAH (.)rrnnnnrm a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of N ew Yorlgborouoh of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and @tate of New York, have invented a new and Improved Blouse, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

lThis invention relates to blouses such as worn by children.

The invention relates es ecially to the type of blouse which is provi ed with an elastic band or belt which is concealed in the hem rovided at the lower edge of the garment.

n blouses of this ty )e difficulty is encountered in washing the louse, due to the presence of the. elastic band referred to. The blouses usually lose their shape, and the water damages the band or belt.

The object of this invention is to roduce a blouse having a concealed waist and or belt which may be readily removed to enable the blouse'to be washed and which is at the saine time capable of adjustment,

' flhe invention consists in the construction to be described more fully hereinafter and more definitely set forth in the claim.

Figure 1 is a front view of a blouse embodying my invention. The said buckle preferably comprises a rectangular frame 12, of connnon form, and a vertical transverse bar 13, having a longitudinal opening or eye 14. The ends 9 and 1U are passed under the side bars of the frame 12 and attached to tongues 15. Beyond this point and at the center of the buckle they pass through the eye 14, beyond which point they lic loosely at th(` back of the blouse, asfrindicated in Fig. l. 'lhey are turned upwardly, so as to be concealed by the blouse and so that they will not protrude below its lower edge. With this arrangement when it is desired to draw the belt another waist-measure, either' of thc beltseetions 4 or lb maybe lcngthened or shortcned to change tho normal wenst-measure of the blouse.

i When it is desired to wash the blouse, the forward ends 6 of the bolt-sections will be detached from the buttons 8 and the entire belt will be removed by drawing the same from the garment at the rear. After the belt is removed the blouse may be readily washed, and the tension of the belt beingr absent the blouse docs not lose its shape in the washing process. After the blouse has been washed the belt may be readily replaced, as will be understood.

lVhile l prefer to put the slits 3 at the rear, it should be understood that their location is a matter of convenience, the principal object being to place the adjusting-Nickle at an inconspicuous point.
