The flanges 14 are provided with upwardly-turned ends 14h, which form i troughs in which the ends of the units 9 and the flanges 15f1 fit. The troughs formed at the joint between the units and the chamber 11 and at the joint at the rear Wall ofthe chamber 11 serve to trap a portion of zinc, into which the radiator is dipped after being assembled. If at any time the radiator should become so hot as to melt the zinc, the troughs will prevent-,it from running fromthe joints.
The embodiments herein shown and described arc for the purpose of illustration and it is to be understood that I may within the scopeof the appended claims Various changes without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the advantages of my invention.
Having described my invention, what I claim is 1. In a radiator-heater, the combination with a plurality of alined radiating units, of a generator having its bottom, top, frontand rear walls formed of sheet metal into an upper chamber, openingat its top into the lower .ends of all the units and an elongated lower reduced portion, cast-metal end walls forthe generator, having legs formed thereon,\and
2. In a radiator, the combination with a plurality of units, of a chamber connecting the units, a bar within the chamber, and tierods within the units and secured to the bar 3. In a radiator, the combination with the units, of a chamber, flanged sleeves connectthe units and holding the units and chamber together. l
4. In a radiator, the combination with the units, of a chambenmsleeves provided with troughed flanges and connecting the units chamber andbearing against thesleeves, and tie-rods positioned within the units and e11- gaging the bar.
5. In a radiator, the combination with a plurality of units, of a chamber connecting the unitsfmeans tying opposed walls of the units, and tie-rods supported wit-hin the units by sai'd tying means.
6. In a radiator, the combination with a plurality of units, of a chamber connecting the units, thimbles connecting opposed walls of the units, tie-rods supportedfrom the thimbles Within the units, and a bar positioned within the chamber and having the tie-rods secured thereto; i

In a radiator, the combination with a plurality .of units, of a chamber, flanged sleeves fitted through the chamber and into the units, thimbles connecting opposed walls of the units, a bar positioned within the chamber and bearing against the sleeves, and tierods connecting the thimbles and the bar.
8. In a radiator, the combination with a chamber provided with openings, of inwardlyextending flanges surrounding the openings, radiating units fitted within the openings and bearing against the flanges, and sleeves provided with troughed flanges embracing the flanges on the chamber and the ends of the units. v
