Be itknown that I, J ULES Pamnoo'r, paper manufacturer, a citizen of the Republic of France, residing at'Arches, in the Departmentof Vosges, in the Republic of France, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Paper-Making Machines, (for which application has been made in France, No. 337,911,
.December 21, -1 903; Germany, December 29, 1903; England,No. 25,726, November 25, 1904;
Belgium, November 28, 1904, and Switzerland, November 28, 1904,) of which the following is a specification.
This invention has for its ob ect improve ments in continuous paper-making machines,-
' affording meansfor avoid ingany deformation of the sheet and any alteration in the felting of the fibers. In fact, in order to avoid any deformation of the paper sheet it is necessary that, first, the supporting band or belt should be practically non deformable; second, the
.sheet should only leave the supporting band or apro'n whenit is completely dry. The present invention realizes. these two conditions by adopting as support a fine very resistant metallic cloth or band, which carries the sheet of paper through all the drying operation.
